I have been an electronics enthusiast since a young age, with Dick Smith and Jaycar kits.
Later leading towards Arduino projects, but also many other platforms.
In 2015, I volunteered for CSIRO Marine Labs, Battery Point, to develop an open source GPS tracker to be used in some projects for CSIRO. This involved everything including C++ programming, circuit board design with KiCAD, and referencing AVR manuals for how to use features such as clocks, watchdog timers, interfaces like serial and I2C.
I keep working on electronics projects as a hobby, and usually have some kind of project I'm working on. As of writing it's a ESP32 virtual pet, similar to a Tamagotchi but as a personal health assistant.
